Light frost might not hurt at all, but then you get the 'killing frosts' and that's the end of your cell walls, plants lose turgidity, and croak.

Only thing a hard frost is good for is Brussels sprouts!

Agree with Stinkyattic, a couple or 3 of light frosts will not do much harm. A hoar frost will ruin your buds. Yeah, frost is generally bad for cannabis plants.

I know this is going to sound silly to most of you,but if you can spritz the buds with water to melt off the frost before the sun hits them, plants can do fine. I know this with flower gardening. I'm talking frost and not freeze.

I am a new poster here, but dedicated reader of this forum. I've learned so much and now have the confidence to experiment. I have 2 girls that I had started in the ground this spring. They did horribly so I potted them up. I'm just sorry I didn't start them in the pot to begin with. They're just bag seed, but it's been fun watching them grow. I've been chopping here and there and I'm now going to see just how far they'll go. We are expected to have a frost tonite. I moved them onto my porch for the night. If they were still in the ground and I couldn't move them, I would have gone out in the morning and hosed them or spritzed them down. If you are willing to chance it by leaving them in and just hoping they'll be ok, then I say at least try the water to zap off the frost. You have nothing to loose! By the way my samples are good. I just can't wait for next spring!

Most all growers around here wait for at least after the first frost to harvest (whether they can "read" the trychs or just the hairs). Pot is very hardy to light frost. As my southern neighbor, Stinky says, a killing frost is the end.
