everytime im smokin someone up and they light the whole bowl for like 10 seconds so much frustration builds up inside....and im just thinkin "mannn"

I usually dont try to explain to them how to corner though because im high and i dont ever feel like it

Iv got this thing about not lighting the whole bowl, but just an edjge of it so that theres still fresh green for anyone else im smoking with. More specificly, hold the lighter under the edjge of the bowl and suck it over. But my friend got pissed at this suggestion and thaught that I was just being dumb. My question is do any of you practice lighting just a corner of the bowl, as opposed to torching the whole thing from above?

i think cornering a bowl is just common courtesy with my friends. usually when its just me and my buddy and his girl we pack either ground up bud or just by the nug. usually though we grind up a nice pile of herb and then load singles but it seems like most people just torch grinded bowls. but with nugs people dont seem to torch as much.

so i guess what im saying is yes we all corner the bowl rather its grinded or a nug. then again with the beginers i think nugs are better because they dont seem to torch as much, while grinded bowls with someone that cant control how big there hit is will get too much because ground up stuff will burn like wildfire.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to smoking. I seriously cannot understand people that leave the flame on the bowl for longer than a few seconds.

But even worse than people that do that are the people that light the bowl when its already cherried. Seriously, WTF?!??! Why would anyone even think of doing that? This guy I lived in the dorms with freshman year did that EVERY SINGLE TIME. I finally stopped smoking with him because it would be a buzzkill to see him do that. It bothered me that much. And nothing really ever bothers me enough to get furious.

Yea, lighting a cherryed bowl is a huge buzzkill for me. Or people who dont hold their hits at least 7 seconds...but that more of a personal thing for me, i just like to get every last molecule of THC in me...shits expensive gotta get ur moneys worth! :stoned:

ive never cornered but i think now i will start seeing as how many could possibly be offended by it. i try to be considerate but no one has ever told me this before or confronted me about it so I dont really think it offends anyone around here

lol its not "offensive".. its just stupid. Even if you're the only one smoking, why would you want to waste weed? Not torching the bowl can make the difference between two hits and ten hits.

Most people just dont know any better.. If you see someone who obviously dosent know how to use a bowl, just show them how to do it right.
