1st time grower needs help!

I think it's time I stop spending my hard earned cash on inferior smoke and started growing my own. I have a very small budget though and want it to be as basic a setup a possible. I was thinking of starting off on an indoor indica strain like AK-48 as I've heard the yield isn't too bad and blooms faster than others. What do i need to get started and how much around abouts will it cost?

Not too much at all Head, If its a small setup you want get urself a 250hps light some pots a bag off Light Miz from Bio Bizz,, those seeds you spoke off are cheap enough, Try Afganie number 1 from Sensi nice to grow flower in 7 ish weeks if you love em,,lol.

Cheak out www.basementlighting.com there in the uk but ship here ive used them avoid the shops in town if ur new theyll try to sell you shit u dont need.

If you have even a 3 by 3 space with some height ull be flying...

Good stuff cheers for that. Hopefully I'll get good at it and eventually be able to grow a white strain cuz I've never even smoked any of that in all my years! Speaking of which, has anyone on this forum grow any of that?

all you need is a light... lolol . thats all i have.. if youve no money. buy a 400wt hps for 120 pounds belfast. thatll doo. save save save cuz unless youve a light you wont grow nafin.. ive youve money... go all out.. remember the cheaper you are, ther crapier the yeild will be. but do your reading and some more.. and youll grow strong..loololo.

ya my motto now is: dont skimp on your light just skimp on everything else! No seriously though, if you spend a little extra on your light you won't be disappointed. The rest is getting used to YOUR setup and making it work for you. Although it is tempting, try not to listen to EVERYONE'S advice on the whole grow setup and make it your own.

For small grows you could do hydroponics with much better results than soil in 5 gallon buckets. The buckets themselves cost relatively nothing, you can get smaller buckets too. The water essentially drains from the top to the bottom. You have a basket that sits in the bucket where the roots / plant is in and the excess water drains to the bottom of the bucket where there is a hose recirculating the water to the top again every couple hours or so. You can have them linked by hose to several diff. buckets too.

5 gal buckets: $5 ea
Retaining baskets: $2-5$ ea.
Hosing: $3
water pump: $30
growing medium (clay pebbles) : $30 - big bag
250W HPS light: $80-$150
Air pump / air stone: $10
Misc parts / tools: $100

You are looking at less than $250 if you want to only have a few plants (1-3) and if you go cheap. Don't skimp on your light!
