permethrim works well and so does neem oil,i would do the predator mites if the other 2 don't work 1st.I usually get them bad as soon as the buds start to form nice,so now i spray before right before to catch them ahead of time..

ello there geoff.. i had bugs on my last grow to m8.. i fucking hated them.. well my plants had thrips 5weeks into flowering.. lil fuckers look like mini yellow worms.. i was even more pissed that i couldnt spry anythin as i was late in flower.. i didnt want to fuxk up my buds.. after a day of debating what to do i thought fuck it.. went in my tent and just started huntin them down squashin em with my bare hands... i allso sprayed the soil and wiped the underside of leaves with a chili and water spray.. i think my slaughtering was most efective.. day by day they was there less and less till the point i would find like 1 a day. then gone.. i think i may have had spider mites near the end.. i say mite.. coz i saw 4-6 very tiny thin webs under few leaves and from 1 plant to another..typical sign of them being there.. but a week prior i had a big bastard of a spider in there that i killed while shitin myself lol.. big fast fucker he was.. anyways after that i had plants flowering for up to 4 more weeks.. i saw no more webs.. but im smokin my harvested white rhino now n its strong as hell .. bugs in it or no bugs i dont give a fu*k..
    happy smokin/growin:dance:

It's well worth understanding the life cycle of pests in order to effectively attack them.

Thrips for example hatch in the soil, then the nymphs (little yellow/orange 'grain of rice' shaped buggers < 1mm) go and feed on the leaves, causing the spotting. After 3-10 days they turn into flying versions, breed and lay more eggs in the soil, flying ones last a few days.

I've been using nicotine to attack 'em - its like VX nerve gas for insects I've been spraying the plants and soil every other day and hardley see any now, but I know there are eggs waiting to hatch, so will contine for a week or two.

haha mrberrys, i take it you dont like spiders then? lol i fuckin hate spiders, and a couple weeks back me and a friend went to go set up a growing spot for springtime, they were EVERYWHERE i swear i must have seen about 300 webs, and they kept harrasing me and making me run away and stuff, eventually we got it sorted, and things couldnt be better though i love to grow plants, and love the outdoors, spiders are where i draw the line, little fucks, they are nasty little buggers and dont even seem to leave me alone, and as for spider mites, little shits, i have no time for them either, i guess im lucky the friend i chose to grow with has a tarantula, and if i need to get somewhere and there is a spider blocking me, at least he can get rid of it without killing it, - its kind of sad how worried i get when i see a spider, oh well, i guess its natural..... peace...
