Advice on CD
I'm making a CD for a girl. Cliche cliche, I know. However, I honestly haven't felt this way about someone for a long, long time, so I want this to mean something.
Anyway. Here are the songs I have so far. I would appreciate any recommendations that you think would be suitable. They don't necessarily have to be love songs, in fact I'm trying to be a bit more subtle than that. Just songs that are unique, special, beautiful, sad, moving, and it wouldn't hurt if the lyrics had something along the lines of rekindling an old flame, perhaps one that was never fully explored. Genres I'm thinking about: indie, alternative, classic rock, folk, I don't know..no rap, hip-hop, or country.
1. Jesus, etc. - Wilco
2. Morning Theft - Jeff Buckley
3. Bob Dylan's Beard - Wilco
4. Let's Not Shit Ourselves (To Love and to be Loved) - Bright Eyes
5. Susie Q - Creedence Clearwater Revival (her name's Susie)
6. Stickshifts and Safetybelts - Cake
7. Slow Like Honey - Fiona Apple
So that's it. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.LuckyNiner Reviewed by LuckyNiner on . Advice on CD I'm making a CD for a girl. Cliche cliche, I know. Advice on CD
I think a girl would laugh in my face if I tried to give her a CD. That's so cheesy and cheap.

Well...I'd say Journey has some great songs, but you said you're trying to be subtle.
You might wanna try "Journey - Anyway You Want it" though.
