    600w or 1000w - whats better

I'm realizing how important lighting is to growth and/or potency
So, I'm getting ideas but can't seem to make up my mind
    2 600's or 1000 watts.

Depends on how large your plants are going to be. If you are vegging for no longer than 6 weeks then 2 - 600's would be best. If you are vegging tree style then the extra penatration you get from the 1000 would be beneficial. Let us know how things go and good luck!

sorry, 3 feet and still growing. in a 4' x 4' room and has been flowering a week now using a 430 agros through veg and flowering. changing that with hortilux 600 this monday, but heard potency is good combining MH. The 400 Eye Blue Mh is what crossing my mind.

what i learned was the more watts the better. it is wastefull if you have like 2000 watts for one plant but the more watts the faster the grow. im pushing 2 1000w Mh for my room which is 9' x 7' x 8' but dont have results yet. i heard that Mh should only be used for vegging and Hps should be used for flowering. if i was you i would invest on a ballast that can carry both frequencies so you can just switch the bulb when the time comes. as for 600 or 1000 i would go for a 1000w but if your grow room was 8 x 8 i would use the 2 600s but yeah, go for the 1000w

I have found in the past from using both MH and HPS that the results are similar. You should notice tighter bud formation and a little more crystal production with a MH. With an HPS I found the buds got larger, but not quite as dense. Also, crystal production didn't seem to be quite as much as the MH produced.

About 2 years ago I have done a side by side grow using both the HPS and MH and have noticed those results. The clones were all from the same mother. Even though there was a difference - I wouldn't say it was large enough to really make a choice. They both seemed the same potency and the weights were very similar. Just the bud density is what I noticed to be most prevalent. Hope this helps.
