You got a pretty good bulb there it will kill in the veg stage and will do pretty good in the flowering as well. might want to add a couple of cfl's for the bottom parts and around the plant to fill gaps though if you want to do your best in yeild. just a suggestion from what i've been reading around here.

thanks man ill give that a try when i get paid...i work for an electrical distributer so i can get hella shit...we got some litte on foot cool whites im going to get to surround the outside of the plant

you might want to get new bulbs, cuz for flowering you want a warm spectrum 2700 kelvin. You might have 6500K wich would have done the trick for vegg

I amm flowering a NYCD and a Fantasma(AK-47 x) under a 1000watt agrosun gold metal halide...the buds are kicking ass...

Although an HPS has a better spectrum for flowering, It is not imperitive. You will be fine starting out with a 150w agrosun.

Keep in mind that the less heat and the smaller the grow is better for new growers, because it eliminates some of the bigger problems during 1st grow. Goodluck

If you check the growfaqs...you will see that I did a step by step on wiring hps ballast kit. You can save money by buying a kit and wiring yourself...Although, I don't know if I would be buying parts from my "Boss"...They might get curious...peace
