My friends brother is living in South Korea this year. He wasnted bud sent to him so my friend did, inside a shampoo bottle. Somehow the Korean government found out and he is now in prison. His family hasnt been able to talk to him we have no idea what is going to happen to him. Do you guys have any clue what the penalty is for this and how long he will be stuck in Korean prison?

Who is in prison? Your friend or his brother?
If his brother, he can simply say that he didnt know who it was and that they were trying to frame him or something.

Ohh shit.
One thing I know is not to fuck with drugs in East Asia. The one in prison, is he a Korean citizen?

From what I know he's in some deep, deep shit. I mean supposedly, from little info online, it seems the RoK gov't can ask for urine samples whenever and they rule pretty hard on Americans in general. I mean it's possible he could be in jail there for years, from what I see from the South Korean government web site.

If he is not a citizen he should try to extradite himself to his homeland immediately. (Assuming he's from a more tolerant country.)
I like to be open-minded but fuck the South-East Asian criminal code.

Jesus Christ, why the fuck do you wanna fuck with drugs in Asia?
Anyway, Asia has very harsh laws. My Korean friend told me of the anti-weed commercials in Korea and they're worse than the American ones. They literally look at it like it's heroin..
Your friend is to be banned from Korea, I'm sure theres a way to get out somehow...?

Pot isn't that hard to find in Seoul.. He should of just gone to Itaewon and asked the Jamiacans hanging around the Burger King. It's been awhile since I was there and I remember the weed being really seedy but damn the stuff hits you hard when you haven't toked in awhile.

Dam, you guys are crazy. Dont attempt to smuggle any kind of drugs out the country if you do not have connects to the government or the flight attendent people. Getting caught is so easy when your crossing country lines like that.
