Clone in sand

I remember hearing on one of zandors' grow reports about cloning in sand. Has anyone done this/ how? What type of sand do you use?
this may prove to be an easy approach for beginners and experts alike so im interested to see whats up.

well if you are gonna try it i would suggest you stay away from the sand you find at the beach as it will contain a high salt content that wont be good for the plant
kiln dried sand or masonry sand will be ya best bet
i add kiln dried sand to my soil mix and havent had any probs
but havent tried cloning in sand , let us know how it goes if you decide to experiment on a clone
