time to flower?
hey all,
i cant decide if to put my plants into flower in the next couple of days or leave them to get bigger for another week.
They are mostly about 4/5 inches tall and about 9/10 inches wide. All have 5/6 nodes and good secondary growth and look very healthy but do you think it is too early still? they are about 24 days since i put the seeds in the rockwool so not very old but very solid little buggers.
advice needed: shall i leave them for a bit longer or put them in tomorrow? I dont want them to grow too tall but from my prior experience it is very hard to tell how much a plant will grow in flower. some seem to quad in size where others simply double. I have never grow either of these strains before so im not sure what to do. I am growing white rinho and ice: 7 rinho and 8 ice currently vegging away.... help! i dont want runts but neither do i want a load of meter tall monsters either. 2 foot and bushy is where im aiming.

flower at 10" she will grow to about 2 feet tall maybe slightly more worst case senerio look into LST she is the perfect size to start then you can veg another 2 weeks no problem and flower her and get a 3 foot plant tied down to about 20" thats what i did and it worked out awsome

time to flower?
cheers invision, i dont think i will make it to 10 inches simply because by then they will have 10/11 nodes upon them and be f***ing massive by the time flowering has finished. Im not sure i have enough light power to penetrate such a thick canopy that i will get with so many secondaries. Presently i have a 400 watt hps but im going to add 200 watts of red spectrum fluros at some point to aid the hps. Also to me it seems better to grow 7/8 small plants than 2/3 big ones (as in time taken to grow from start to finish), but i could be wrong, lol.

thats what the LST if for makes all grow shoots go upward as the plant grows side ways i only use 150's and she is quite filled in if i had that 400 id be a mad man with the bud production

Some people flower from the start so you can flower them whenever you want. The ideal time to start flowering is when you start to get alternating nodes. That means that the plant has matured in veg. Try to figure out how many females you have and then you can figure out the best method to train them later. You'll have to figure out a way to get the light close to all the plants.

time to flower?
yeah dude i know that.
what i really want to know is how much these strains grow in flower.
I have next to no stretching at moment cause they are under 325watts of light and it keeps them short and bushy. I know they will stretch but im just curious if anyone has grown these strains and what they found out about them.
