i would say 15x is too strong for a first time experience. 10x is as high as i would go. i remember when i did 10x it took about 2-3 hits and on the last hit after i exhaled it hit me and there were other people in the room and they couldnt even tell i was having any kind of experience. they told me i was sitting there normally with my eyes open and couldnt tell any difference. when i snapped out of it someone was actually standing in front of me with a blunt and they were going to give me a shotgun and i was like "whoa whats going on" so it was as if my vision was completely disrupted and i saw a complete different scene than was actually infront of me.
i think b4 passing the 15x a person should be well experienced with 10x and below. and by that i do not mean 2-3 trips i mean like 5+. i say this cause u can never know whats going to happen or how u will react while u are in that state.
its well known that the aztecs and mayans used salvia to experience religious visions and the such. of course this is what they would relate the experience to. who knows maybe on another level salvia really does open the mind to a completely different plane of existence. some ppl call theories like that too far out there but the truth is we do not really know. it can be very powerfull we do know that.
one reason why salvia is being made illegal is because of cases where inexperienced users have went to far and had either accidents where injuries have occured or even self inflicted injures. the most extreme case i know of is a teenage boy age 15-18 had been experimenting with salvia and he killed himself with the exhaust of a car(carbon monoxide) he left a suicide note to his parents and he said in that note that with the help of salvia he had discovered the secret of life and that he could not go on living after gaining this knowledge.
things like this are the reason why i caution people to be so carefull and do as much research as possible and please take it slow. there is no time limit to this and it is not a race!

when u say skunk most people think of weed. do u mean weed or some kind of salvia that is called skunk. cause i know some places sell salvia and call it purple blah blah whatever salvia.

My friends and I just tried Salvia divinorum (it was wicked strong, I don't know HOW strong, but I paid fucking $90 for a tiny little bit).

My experiences were disconcerting, not "evil" or whatever, but definitely not pleasant. At one point I thought I was going to stop existing and that scared me... it was different than dying because it wasn't like my body was leaving my soul behind or anything, it was like my soul was being erased completely.

One friend thought the carpet was going to attack him, and then on his second trip he thought the room was tilting sideways and that he was being sucked out.

Now, on the other hand, another friend of mine laughed the whole time and reported that she was "in Dr. Seuss World... everything was pink and white and blue stripes and everything tasted like cherry vanilla, and you guys were all there, but you were colors, and the colors each had your voices"

I have smoked salvia a handfull of times. I too have experienced the presence of another entity encouraging me to 'come along' but there was no demonic presence to it.

The first time I felt I was in the presence of something so real and so truthful that I literally had a hard time "believing" it. I had been stripped of my physical existence and existed as a ball of light. And the entity(s) I was interacting with were the same, just light.

And my thought the first time was "Hold on ! THIS is what we are ?! ?!? !? !" and they would MENTALLY nod "Yes :-) now let's go ! :-)"

It is THE most psychoactive experience I have ever had in my life. It makes every mushroom and and every lsd trip PALE in comparasin. This is not a party drug. It is not some 'cute' thing to feed your friends for humorsake.

i've smoked 20X quite a few times. i agree that this drug gets you in touch with a being. i've had some extremley fucked up expirences and feelings on saliva that i cant even explain.

but like you were saying about being ripped from yourself, i know exactly waht you mean. im not quite sure what happened to my soul, but all i know is that there was no "I". the first person view of life from "my" eyes no longer existed. i am almost positive that i died for those minutes, becuase i am positive that my thouyghts no longer existed
