My Grow Pics. Your Harsh Opinions!

After being closed for an hour this time the temp is 97.7.
    The humidity is 44%.

    How do these numbers look?

Also, when should I add nutes? Right now there is a TOTAL of 1/4 tsp of each of the 3 GH products. What amount per gallon should I be at? How do I ADD it to the buckets???

Humidity is okay. If you can get it higher (just by keeping some containers full of water in there or whatever), some books say that increases the percentage of females, if you can get it to 70+ percent. Whether that's true or not, I dunno. 97.7 degrees F is not good though, yikes. Time to put some serious work into your ventilation system. Try to get the temps down to 85F at least, and lower if at all possible.

You should also kill off every plant except one in each pot. If their roots grow together, and you get a male, then what's your plan? If you hack off the male, its roots could (and likely would) start rotting and kill your females or at least infect them and hurt their potential. If you plan to just grow the males too, if you get any, and make seeds, then it makes some sense to just leave them there I guess. If your goal is seedless sensimilla, best to get it down to one plant per pot now before it's too late.

The temp in the closet is staying in the mid/upper 90s! I will have to improve the venting. I believe it is the ducting, not the exhaust fan... For the time being, I can keep it cooler by leaving the door open. I may just have to cut a hole through the sheetrock so I can vent right out the top above the door... OR, I may remove the door and cover the opening with cloth that breathes but will contain some of the light...

The humidity is showing 28%! Lots of water will have to be moved in somehow! Plus as soon as the plants get a little higher, I will remove some of the rock around the bubblers. I think that will generate some humidity...

HOWEVER, all this being said, the plants are alive and the leaves are green. The next set that is coming out is about 1/16th of an inch above the first set. That set, even as delicate as they can be, is not burning up...

My 1st recommendation to ANY new grower would be to buy a light that is NOT hot! For one, you cannot contain the heat. And two, you better be able to vent it! There is no way I would recommend this setup to anyone planning on doing any serious growing... I am sure my electric bill is going to be sky high. Mainly due to the heat. Fortunately we are going into the winter! I will cover the light output and utilize the heat Before I grow in the summer (in hot climate), I will definitely go to flouro (or something cooler).

    Stay Cool! hehe... Chow!!!

This is how the plants look after a day in the HEAT...

This is where I moved the exhaust fan to.

The temp with the door open is about 88. Humidity still 27%...

#1. These lights are so bright, you cannot conceal them. Do not use a closet within site of any doors or windows!
#2. This 430 watt light is designed for a slightly larger area. I will have to do some major ventilation, but I think that I CAN make it work. I think it would be ideal for an area the size of a washer and dryer with a regular dryer vent. (But still too hot).

As to the number of plants, root concerns, etc... I think I am going to wing it for now. See how the plants do. If/when I do get a good KNOWN female, I will take cuttings for clones. I would like to grow a Mom in soil. Will she keep living and living and living or will I have to keep harvesting her? Also, the way the pots seperate, I think I will be down to 2 before I get any root problems. I would NOT recommend these type pots for anyone as they are TOO big for one plant and too small for 2. I like the square ones...

Well, another day has begun. The plants look healthy to me and the second set of leaves grew from tiny sprouts to about 3/4 inch long yesterday on a couple of the plants. And the leaves are not burning up...

The temp is running in the upper 90s. I am leaving the door open ... I will purchase another of the bathroom exhaust fan for temp control.

I dont really see any way of getting the humidity up much. To keep the heat down, I have to cycle so much air OUT of the closet that no moisture I add is going to stay in there. I put a 13x11 glass dish of water in there and it didnt change the humidity at all...

I have been surprised not to get more replies or suggestions. It is difficult to search the boards for a scenario that exactly matches yours and by the time you have found it, your shit is dead.

To all you old Growers... Sorry to be such a pain in the ass as a Newbie.

To all you Newbies... Use THREE resources. 1. Your local grow supplier. 2. The internet. 3. Books. You will need all 3!

To the Cops... If you aren't here in the next 10 minutes, you wont find anything. But just in case you are looking, I keep one glass piece and less than a 10 grams of smoke around IF ANY. I reup whenever I want through about 10 possible sources. Mexican weed, but it gets you high...

I am yanking the plants because I fear the electric bill will be sky high. I also dont need Police problems and I am not in an Ideal grom situation. BUT, by going through this process, I know better what I will need to possibly grow in the future. Who knows, maybe I will order some seeds soon!

    Out~

I couldn't kill them... So I moved them under the flouro lights for now. They have greened up nicely and are putting on leaf growth. I am having fun with them and learning lots!!! I still have the nutes UNDER 1/4 strength. I am raising them slowly as I add water. I think they probably could be way higher...

These are new pics. I have the flouro pushed back because the light screws up the flash, etc...
