My Grow Pics. Your Harsh Opinions!
I saw in pic in ur last thread the pllants need the light alot closer u might want to use a fluoro for the first week of the plants life maybe allittle longer, u can really get them light with out the burn. cause there so small that really have nothing to catch the light so they get even less then expected. but with a fluor you can practically touch the plants with the bulb (ofcourse not doing so)

I know I could shuffle lights around. I would prefer to raise the big light and have the flouro that I have for other uses. The stretching is from PRIOR to being under this light.
Im pretty pissed at this point about the 4 plants in one bucket situation. My local guy is out of the rocks that I need for my second bucket. (the round, tan ones). I am going to try to grow 2 in each bucket... after I pick them
I may just end up removing 2 today as it is bugging the shit out of me! At what point will I be able to determine females/males? Should I grow all of them just in case I have to chop the males down...
After the light being on for about 30 minutes this morning, I can see some new growth. I can also see the larger leaves are yellowed slightly from the light yesterday. I have moved it up about 4 inches.
Until I vent the closet, I have just been leaving the door open. It needs a constant fan which I seem to have misplaced. Dammit!
I will keep a close eye on them...

hey i understand the stretching is from them being in a window but the HPS for vegging isnt doing them much better
either get a metal halide conversion bulb and use that or turn off the HPS till your ready to bud them and use several CFLs to veg them out
Vegging plants need more full spectrum (metal halide) lighting then red spectrum lighting (hps), at least if you want lavish green plants
other than that i see nothing wrong, what is the temp in there?

In reply to Dazed4now,
First I totally agree, on a deeper level, with your Signature.
Or maybe Im just High!
About the light... All these abbreviations... My guy showed me basically 3 options in these types of lights (no flouros). One of one type, one of the other, OR this bulb with all 3 colors. (I believe is how he put it). He is the only grow shop I know of in town and has a Perfect record and is a great source of knowledge. He also gave me the boxes

call him and ask him if they have Metal Halide Conversion Bulbs (MH bulbs that are designed to run on HPS ballasts, so all you need is the bulb not the whole setup), if you can afford it then go pick it up, if you cant then go to walmart and find the biggest and best Compact Fluoroescent Light, get about 3 or 4 of those and use them to veg your plants out, then come time for flowering use your high pressure sodium which will finish the job.
see High pressure sodium emits more towards the red spectrum (which is why you have an orange glow) which is good when flowering your plants 12\12, but when they are still in the vegging stage 18\6 or 24hrs light (really doesnt matter) they need more full spectrum lighting than red spectrum, if you get a metal halide light you will notice the difference in how they grow, look, and perform

Everything looks cool but I would get that carpet out of there asap, its a sponge for bacteria , mites, molds , fungis ect..
Also I know alot of 20 year + growers that only use HPS thru veg and bud, but a " fuller" spectrum , aka MH or T5s will create faster, more dense - plants.

Good day to you all. I am the same person as I was... Previously going under PHx. PHx is a friend of mine who used my computer, so when I would log in it would automatically go to that profile. After contacting Admin, Admin has told me to recreate my HighSeekerz profile, disable cookies, reboot, etc... Well, I have done that. I hope I can get into Chat! And now I have to work my way back up to 50 posts to add my sig back on!
Anyways, this evenings pics! Of the exhaust fan I had to dig out... It was hiding...

The rest of todays pics. You can see how I have positioned the plants since I got the rest of the rocks. These are the same 4 that I had started in the other pot. Now just 2 in each pot... The roots were about 1 inch longer than the rockwool, so I poked a hole through the rocks with the straw and was able to just guide it down in there without having to touch it at all. Both of them were still okay to move...
