Ventilation? help me!
If you saw on my "temp increasing" my grow room temp has been increasing. i have direct ventilation from out side right now ( pics below) but i want to use venting pipes to air cool my lights and so i can start using CO2. i put all my plants under one light (1000w mh) instead of two and turned the other one off. this decreased my temp by almost 10 F and now they are around 75F. I need to know if i should have one pipe going through both lights and sucking air from the ceiling or if i should seperate it. will one 6 inch vent be enough air to cool my room (with air cooled lights) and refresh the air? do i need an exaust fan as well as an intake fan or just an exhaust fan? please help me, any info you can give me would be great. thanks ----- my grow room is 7' x 9' x 8'

I have seen multiple lights ducted together with one fan before. Not sure how powerful the fan was but it worked fine. Are you going to use a carbon scrubber?
I use a 265cfm intake fan but you might get by with the air you've got coming through the window with that fan.

exhaust is more important than intake turn the fan around and see what happens to your temps

well the problem is i have two light fixures which i paid around $1000 total for and it would be a huge waste if i just left one off the whole time when i could be using it and speeding up my proccess. if both are on and my fan is on full blast it still gets to 86F and thats why i need a vent. system.

Im suggesting that a single high power vortex fan would be good ehaust for both lights but also continue to use the window fan for fresh air intake. Obviously the exhaust needs to vent out of the room.

The problem is that when i start to use co2 i need to have a controled ventilation process so im not wasting it, so i need to block in ways air can enter. thats why i need input on how much fresh air is needed to keep my room cool, i know it will be cooler once i air cool my lights, but im not sure if it will keep my temp low none the less. here is a picture i drew of what i was thinking about doing. tell me what you think, thanks------click on picture

.
Seriously, are you planning to go industrial?
I have my exhaust up by the lamp, CO2 Ã*s heavy and sinks, so I don't think it gets sucked up. Not for me, anyway.

you can put them really close to the lights once they have rooted in soil, I keep 6 babies, 2 weeks old 20 inches from my 1000 watt MH in a 4x4 room, room temp is 73-75 while lights on measured ontop of my plants.
your picture looks fine , use a 465 cfm fan for fresh air in , and one for sucking the heat out of the room, thru your lights, and outside - works great for me.
I use a big ass attic exhaust fan , it was real cheap, you could rick up any size venting to it like 1050 CFM exhaust for 40$
Sucks the door off the hinge dang near :P Using somthing like this would be cheap, and would cool 2000 watts in that size of a room easy.. That room is way to big for just 1000 watts, I would use 2k , and maybe 1k mh 1k hps for budding
