Bubbler Buckets for mothers.
I'm new to hydro but I was wondering seeing as how people can grow monster trees with bubble buckets, is it economical to make bubble buckets for mothers? I'm thinking about trying this for a continual harvest system (using sea of green, ebb and flow)

yeah..... thats a big no no... plus eventually the roots will become bound in a bucket......
and even if you used a 10gal.... youre burning a hole in youre wallet just to keep the nutes up

actually in DWC you can grow and maintain very well a mother, as a mother is always being trimmed it wont get too much foliage at all, especially in sea of green where alot of clones are needed. the same cannot be said for soil, where the grow will be slower, the roots will be controlled by the amont of soil it has to grow in and the amount of soil to extract the nutes , not so in hydro!

That's what I figured Misty. If my plant is really just going out of control I'll just take a bunch of clones, even if I don't need them.

Do as you wish, but if you take too many cuttings at one time you will produce a bunch of hermies...I know, i tried DWC MUM's for a year, and unless you plan on growing 20-40 plants at a time, you cannot keep up with the DWC MUM.
but, I cannot tell you what to do. If you go DWC, you will find yourself ovewrwhelmed at some point, I am trying to save you the trouble. I grow all hydro...DWC, Aero, Drip...But MY MUM's are in 3 gallon pots.
And, If LEO comes a knockin'...It is a whole lot easier to save your MUM by throwing her in a box and hauling ass...Very hard to do that with DWC...Good luck

I keep one mom in my dwc for only 2 months and I get off her in that time period about 100 clones and when Im done with her I lay her to rest because she is a massive 6ft to 7ft tall and already has out grown my space. So I just replace her with another clone and keep the process going.
