i have an ebb and flow with the resevoir seperate from the grow tray. I try to keep all light from hitting the water.
I have found that my nutes settle to the bottom of the resevoir and that it's never caused any problems. Hope this helps.

Its not sitting in direct light but its not blacked out either. i also noticed that some of the nutriets are building up at the bottom of the res. My res, is seperate from the root chambers Rating: 5
