What to do once seeds have popped in the paper towel?

    Hello, ladies and gentlemen:

First, my profuse apologies if this is a common question with a pedestrian answer. I am very much sick and/or tired of the uncertainty and insane price-structure of my locale, and I'm going to make my own, damn it. Second, I have read the FAQ, have scanned the boards, and I sincerely hope not to appear as ignorant as I truly am -- I was tragically born without green thumbs, and have no experience in making anything grow save for the occasional foot-fungus.

    On that nauseating note, help?!?

As I type these words and send them careering through cyberspace, I have used a moist paper towel sprinkled with a sampling of seeds from various sources, applied heat energy, and observed after two days that several of them have "popped." I see short curly white sprout-like things emerging from several. This is neat: I did something which made something else happen.

Now, vitally, what do I do? Put them in soil? What kind? If I have four popped seeds, how much soil do I use? In how many different pots? Do I use anything special, or just plain old tapwater basking in the light of Old Sol?

I'm amazingly stupid, even though I have done the aforementioned reading. So, with advance apologies, thank you for whatever advice you can provide a fed-up neophyte.

    Peace, love and cannabis....

First off, no offense you should have done/thought about all of this befor u germinated your seeds. now u have seeds popped an now where to go. Keep them in the dark and put them in some soil if you can. Personally i use hyrdo methods but thats something far more into detail. Read more on the forums from what ur saying it doesnt sound like ur read anthing. u can find all these answers directly on the forum. Search grow room set ups. soil types theres a huge thread on every type of plant feed. ur gonna need lights(growing ones) theres just such a broad answer to ur question. u need to sit down and think about what ur gonna do becuase its hard to change things up late in the game

    Well. Thanks. I guess.

I surmise thus that I should be able to read the shop manual of my Sonoma and from that suddenly have the ability to fix the fuel injector.

I have laboriously read Cannabis.com, Marihemp.com, Overgrow (when it existed), and Erowid's famous page. I have discussed things on the chatroom on this site, and have solicited advice from a knowledgeable friend in D.C. who hails from a region known for its dank. If anything, I have obtained so much information about HPS and perlite and pH and mylar foil that I suffer from paralysis by analysis. Too much information can add to, as opposed to subtracting from, confusion, and the question of precisely, exactly, unambiguously what-to-do-next doesn't always have a simple answer, though the simple answer -- sans the TMI -- is what I seek.

Nonetheless and notwithstanding, a very pleasant gentleman on the chatroom has helped this poor waif to cut through the clutter and tell me to do this, then this, then this, with this type of soil and this type of light. He's helped immeasurably, and my modest plantation is underway.

    Thanks. Yeah, that's it. Thanks.

First off i wanna tell you a way better way of germanating a seed...First i take a cup (just a regular cup of water preferably glass so you can see all around it) drop 3-5 seeds in to the cup of water. Push the seeds down that float (if some continue to float its ok) then set into a cuboard (i used a kitchen cuboard thats dark but any dark cuboard works) check on them after like 2 days and check to see if they have opened
    (ok now to your question)
once they have opened plant them into soil, i use Organic Choice w/miracle grow. you can start out in a small 3 inch pot to start them but you will have to transplant later. for a smaller plant just plant straight into a 8 inch pot or so. plant the seed with the root down (thats your white sperm looking thing haahaa) use some clean tweasers so that you dont the grease from your fingers on the seed. only plant it like half an inch down into the soil. water it thorougly with a spray bottle so not to disrupt the seed placing and you wont have to water it for a couple days. once its growing you can start to water through a spout or just a cup. water PH should roughly be 6.5-7.0 but regular tap water should be ok i usually use it....make sure you have a good light too...floresent lights are good to do it with and always leave it 3 inches away from the plant at all times...a fan is good to circulate air as well....well that should start ya haahaa...any Qs let me know
