Can i plug ballast into wall?
Before you plug in a 1000 system, you need to go have a look at your circuit breaker board in the cellar and make sure that the breaker it's going to be on is not overloaded and is big enough to carry it.
I use a 20amp breaker for just 1 1000 light plus like a little fan or 2, but that's it.
And make sure you get a heavy-duty timer too, either a commercial time-clock or one rated for 18 amps and set up with an outdoor water-resistant cover.

Can i plug ballast into wall? i just a bought a ballast for my 1000 watt bulb and i realized that it takes alot of electricity to power one of those things... and i was wondering ifmy outlet would explode if i plugged the thing into it and left it on for a while. the ballast is a sun system 1 HPS remote ballast and has 120 volt powercord... not sure if that will help or not, but any suggestions would be appreciated, thx!:rasta: Rating: 5
