I read in an article, regarding the chemical makeup of marijuana, one psychoactive ingredient that makes the buzz creep, and last longer, too, if I remember right ... again, IF I remember right, it may have been CBDs they were talking about, and certain strains contain more than others ... plant maturity also contributes to it ...
