need help (carbon scrubber static pressure ?)

ok, so the misses is getttin pissed about the smell, right now i dont have the cash for a vortex fanso im usign my squirrel cage blower for the carbon scrubber.

now this is a 800cfm fan that keeps my cab the same temp as my house so say 70*

when i hook up the makeshift filter scrubber ghetto shit i made it destroyes the smell b ut its not movign hardly any air.

i know i need a vortex fan so it will make enough static pressure to still keep my cab cool

also does anyone have DIY plans for a carbon scrubber? all the ones i have found are not really clear and detailed

need help (carbon scrubber static pressure ?)

well after 2 hours of searching iv got a general idea of how im going to do it, im goin to make one usign the fag from OG with the chicken wire ect.

but im going to make it 8" in diameter with a 6" insert so that will leave me with 2" of filter media around t he inner insert.

now my question is for the people that have done this is how the endcaps go together on the end that goes to the fan...like how do you keep the carbon i n the filter and to keep it from spillign into your fan? i was thinking along the lines o f maybe a peice of ply wood cut into a circle and insert it into the end so the carbon wont spill out?

could somone possibly take a quick pick for me of both ends of ther filter?

    tyia!!!!:rasta:

Using 6 inch and 8 inch caps still only makes 1 inch of filter media....(diameter...) You'd need to use 10" and 6" to make 2 inches.
