Is it true that you have to clean yourself almost to the point of taking a shower just to look inside your grow? Is it that easy for plants to attract mites,pests,diseases and all that mumble jumble? Say for my tiny 1 square foot grow?

Just take a dip in carbolic acid and ware a big sterilized suit with an oxygen tank for you to breath. You might look like an astronaut, but your plants will be safe. LOL
No, just make sure that you haven't been around a bunch of other plants that you don't no anything about, or pets with tics and fleas. If you smoke always wash hands before touching plants or they can contract the Mosaic tobacco virus.

What he's saying is that yes, you are very much correct. Plants have to be kept air tight, and you must not allow even the tiniest amount of dust in your growroom or your plants will morph into 80' robots and all of human kind will be destroyed.

Keeping your tools (blades, clippers, containers etc) very very clean is a must. You also need to make sure your hands are clean like someone mentioned, and make sure that the walls, floors, and all things coming in contact with the plants were properly sterlized before you even started growing. Starting with a fresh clean room is a must for all new crops.

Not a problem, and thanks for the props on the posts, but there are folks around hear with thousands of post. Some people with large post numbers have a bunch of BS post's, but you'll start to find out who can really help and who is full of it. And don't mind all the joking, we all get board, and stoned, so we just verbally ruff house around hear. Besides I loved the post about your plants turning into robots. LOL

i just wash my hands befor i touch the plants, and i use the alcohol get hand sanitizer stuff when i go from one plant to the other so not to spred any germs to another plant in case ther is mold or anything
