a pH tester will be invaluable for your endeavors in the future. Fish emulsions, bat guano, bone meal are all excellent sources of additional nitrogen. Your local hydroponic store should have them. Make sure you get the type that is for soil not hydro.

You need to wait until your soil is relatively dry before watering again. Since you haven't been feeding them yet you don't really need to be flushing right now. I would just get some nitrogen additives and check the pH and you should be in good shape.

Quick question I was wondering if anyone could answer my question, my plant is growing fine the only problem i can really see is that everytime it grows a new set of leaves the ones below it start to turn yellow and die.. it just keeps doing a cycle like that, growing bigger but leaves on the bottom keep dying.. i thought it might not be getting enough light so i added another (42w CFLs), its a small growing space, i also have some foil (dull side up) in there.. heres a pic.. any ideas why its doing that?
