about to start my grow, 2 simple q's

if you are using that light system then really make sure of your ventilation system.you may even have to run a duct through the fixture if you can to help cool it.remember, the more confined the grow space ,the more critical ventilation becomes.grow well!!

about to start my grow, 2 simple q's

had the lights on for about 3 hours yesterday, temp remained at 82. i have 1 computer looking fan, not sure of the strength, at the bottom blowing air in, and a 265cfm blower sucking air through a carbon filter, then pushes it through my air cooled light fixture and out the top corner exhaust. i'm all set to go, i'd like to get it more quite though. anyways, 3 of those older seeds i mentioned before look like they're going to germinate

Also, i have some seeds i bought like 3-4 years ago. nirvana & homegrown fantaseed strains. they've been in their original bag, in a drawer this whole time. i decided to try and germinate them (the ones that didn't crumble that is). if they germinate, does that mean they're good to go, or is it a waste, cause even if they germinate they'll produce a crappy plant? thanks for all the help guys.
You can try stockings but what works best if you're using that approach is the loudspeaker cloth you see over like house speakers. It blocks light without restricting airflow much.

Have the PVC elbows inside the cabinet then and "point" them away from the light source. I tried black stockings and such on mine, but the elbows worked much better once I configured them
