whats so bad about a male plant?

personally, I'm always hoping for a male, so I can breed some seeds (and save $$$) ... the old wives' tale that 'going to seed' somehow weakens the female plant's potency is NOT TRUE ... yes, when going into the seed phase, the plant's GROWTH ceases, but not the THC potency ... then, when done making seeds, the THC production starts up again (of course, by then, you're probably ready to harvest) ... without the male pollen, there is NO cannabis on the planet (Mother Nature is too lazy to clone ) ...
