Hi D Rock. The one I have is the latest model which might be lighter I dont know. I used the hangers in the box and my buddy Mr Dave said he did not trust those donutnuts. So we figured out the maximum drop in chain and put that in throught the hangers and ran the chain up to a big hook in a stud. Then we tied on the donutnut just like the instructions said. At first we started to let go and it was going so I decided to just really torque down that thumbscrew. So we pushed up to that knot they have and really torque it by hand. Then we let go and it would not move. We really had to pull hard to get it going. I went and backed it off just a hair and all of a sudden it worked like in the display at the shop.

They do allow to angle and adjust daily with ease and I like them but the chains stay as a safety. I will take a photo tomorrow if your interested in seeing how the project is coming.

I am about a week into my Northern Lights project and the guys are about an inch and are getting their first true leaf set. I have the light 30" above now. Seems to be ok. Do you think I should lower it?? The heat the tek puts off keeps the 5 x 4 closet at 80 degrees which the little girls ( I hope ) seem to like.

I really messed up right out of the box on height and the kid you brought it over and laughed a little and said these are their latest version and he said they were a little better on light distribution. All I know is they work great.
