Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

i vote there wont be a next 20 years, probably some kinda super virus that the US government created will get out and kill 99% of the poulation leaving only those lucky enough to be immune. or nuclear war will break out, or the world will commit a mass suicide because of all the dumb stuff thats happening...infinite amount of possibilites

I dont even want to think about it really....california is gonna be scorching hot from greenhouse gases probably....guns and meth is gonna be everywhere, theres gonna be no racism anymore, people will drive every where, the average age of death will probably go down a whoile lot(especially with males), theres gonna be fast food restuarants everywhere, people are gonna have to "kill themselves" inorder to be a pro-athlete(snowboarding, skateboarding, biking etc.), Vancouver is gonna be 90% Asian, gas is gonna be almost un-buyable.....but Canada will still be all good lol

i think as the years go by, more and more newer generations are less susceptible to higher control (government, religion) and there will be more free minded people.

with that comes "good" free minded people & "evil" free minded people...

We are definately going to see this in our lifetime so we must choose which we want to be.

Hopefully someone of the younger generations will be in power and cannabis will be legal. And there'll be no war, either that or they'll have a mass war and we'll all die

I believe that to contrary belief..time goes on and this is my take on it.

I think that the world will get better. Eventually.....

A notable demographic shift will occur in 2010 as the youngest of the baby boomers (b.1945) will hit the united states legal retirement age of 65. This will continue on for some more time, until all the baby boomers have hit retirement age.

As the boomers retire Generation X will take rolls in middle and upper management.

As Generation X moves up to middle and upper management, Generation Y will take up positions in the lower half of the workforce.

Generation X will then age and hit retirement age and Generation Y will take upper management.

I think that when Generation Y is in the phase of life to take upper level management positions..(ecspecially in government positions) Will be the time that things start changing positively in the US.

Wow...that shit was deep. Now anyways owl, on a lighter note, my son's 5. I can't even imagine what he will see and sometimes feel guilty for bringing a kid into a fucked up world.

But the most important part of this is not to worry. Only care what you do and how you are. Enjoy life...and ignore all else. If you need to get away...you know where I'm at

Every generation, stretching back to the begining of human civilization, has had it's members who believe the world is coming to an end, that the apocalypse/second coming/gehenna/ragnarok/oblivion/acension whatever you want to call it, is just around the corner. These people are pretty much always wrong, and will continue to be. Don't ruin your lives over worrying about things that you have no control over anyway. Yes, we need to fix our mistakes and problems, the world is not in the greatest shape, and it is humanity's responsibility, ALL OF US, to do what we can to make it better. Global warming, AIDS, poverty, starvation, war, these are all things that at first, seem impossible to solve, but when you realise how far humanity has come since we first came together to create societies, you realise there is nothing we can't do if we fully commit our minds, willpower and endurance to it.

The world is always going through ups and downs, usually at the same time, but don't get bogged down with worrying about things. Stand up, contribute to causes you believe in, work to make things better, and live your life. We'll (and I mean humanity) still be here in 20 years.

I chose not to bring any children into this world. But I'm totally glad that other people are still doing so. That way, just in case civilization *does* collapse, well, we might need the kids for food.
