Is that true? it would explain alot going on in my head right now. Life's tough but giving up is just too easy.
I do believe love is unconditional. I'm not finding alot of that kind of love being spread around alot which is why I only have a few friends which I love and will do anything for them.
When I'm depressed I try to push out my negative thoughts with something I'm good at or something I like. You should seriously try that, don't give up yet. Like I said, giving up is just way to easy. Things do get better eventually.

The answer to life and eveything is: 42. Cheers

I think depression occurs among most of high intelligence.. Its just about being young and learning to get over it. We get used to anything..

Love is just something you get SO used to, after a while, that you just can't imagine yourself going on without it. We all love marijuana, but when its a person its just love on a much higher scale (no pun intended) depending on age and experience (both in quality and quantity)

the only purpose of life I've learned is just to enjoy it because life is short, live in the now, instead of the future, or the past, take things for what they are, and ride it until the wheels fall off, make mistakes and make memories

its tough as shit, I know, but negative thoughts only bring negative results

    weeds tought me lots

    Wow.
Given the right person at the right time, i can really see this paragraph saving someone from suicide. I've been there too...often still here... and even more often i think that I am going to be this way my whole life... but there are ways around this nasty part of the nature of our minds.

To the original statement... I'd say you got it figured out, only i wouldn't use the word "acceptance". You are right about it being "unconditional"... I think i'm in love, and i would use the word....ummm... im really high... i cant think of A word at the moment but it should portray a more 'caring' aspect.
    just my 2 cents
    God is love.

They are partners - - bonded for eternity. If you lose sight of one, don't be discouraged; they don't ever leave, no matter how you're feeling. Mentally, though, you have to realize this, even if it takes some time. Take care and believe in love, in life, and all that's inbetween.

The meaning to life is probably as vague as anything, but when one discovers their own meaning or purpose, life suddenly seems a lot more loving, and thus how the two concepts of 'life' and 'love' are never too far away - - and neither are we. If you're feeling down, I'm sure myself and others here would be glad to listen, if you feel the need. So make the myths and take care res... ~

Love is acceptance...you got it. On the issue of depression, I find myself strangely attracted to my distorted and instantaneous thoughts. I do not lament the ever so destructive text flowing back and forth in my mind, I embrace them. It's called an obsession.

Not many advise the identification with these thoughts, infact it's the reciprocal with everyone. "Ignore them", "Silence your mind"...I'm afraid to honestly. What else is there if not destructive thought?

destructive thought is just that......destructive thought.....
do you wanna live a life led by it?.....no.....
you gotta think of shit that is NOT depressing.....because its true....one negative thought attracts another negative thought and another negative thought until your just a ball of negativity............
thats why you gotta overcome that bitch called life and prove that your better/stronger and you can handle whatever bullshit comes your way....

    The definition of Love

I think the point of life is to love and be loved. And I believe that love is acceptance and abiding affection with countless different degrees.

One thing I don't buy is the idea of unconditional love. It sounds marvelous as a concept: absolute, abiding love. But people forget that love is generally conditional. Spouses and lovers love on the conditions of affection, fidelity, kindness and honesty from their partners. Children love when they're loved in return and treated well. When they're not, they often learn hate and resentment instead. Nearly all the types of love I can think of have conditions of some kind attached, and I think lots of people forget that fact. Seems to me conditional love is, in many ways, much more critical to our existence.

Always looking forward to what you have to say on touchy topics like these. You give such good insight. You say things I'd never think of.
