My hobby turned into my job!

I love engines and I used to restore and rebuild them as a hobby. Then I got offered a job doing exactly that, so does it still count as a hobby?

like my 7th grade teacher said . . . ''if you find a job doing something you like, youll never work a day in your life''

obviously not to be taken too literally.

My hobby turned into my job!

I was going to start a similar thread but why bother.
I am a motorcycle enthusiest/biker and a former drug addict. 10 years ago when I was a speed freak, I went to this motorcycle shop to buy a bike and ended up working there for a few years after I got out of rehab.
I love motorcycles with all my heart and am pretty good with a wrench as I used to work in a service shop doing all kinds of auto repairs but I hated that kind of work because of my bad back and always hitting the hood with my head. So when I got out of the rehab the owner of the shop asked me what I was gonna do now that I had my head out of my ass and did I want a job. I said yes and have been working on bikes for almost 6 years now.
I have gone to school and everything for it and now have about ten grand in Snap-On tools including a $3500.00 Snap-On toolbox but I do not work a regular job anymore because I am disabled physically and only work on bikes as a hobby again.
I do some serious work on my own bikes and maintain all of my friends bikes for them at no charge except for parts. It is a hobby that was a job because of a hobby.

I started chopping 50's and 60's Triumphs that same way, i wasn't a drug addict, but i went into a shop lookin at old bikes....gave a couple of pointers and ended up building em for the guy for a few years.
