Yeah, red lighters were considered bad also if someone was with us that had a red lighter, it was thrown out the window

A vaporizer or knifehit would be a cleaner hit, infact a good knife hit leaves behind brown worthless nugget that has been stripped of its goodies, you can throw that junk away and save your lungs the tar!

Also when taking a knife hit.. the smoke is boom , burned, then instantly sucked into your lungs, so the time from combustion to inhaling i very very minimal - I know bong hits get stale rather fast so this must be more effective :P Just burns thru alot of weed since you dont get as many " hits " per gram. But you still get all the THC and other goodies.

ps. Just use matches if you burn your weed with flame - let the sulphur burn off first though :P joints are also a cleaner method.
Well atleast you have tried hotknifing it, unlike half these noobs.

As for the red/yellow/white bad lighters, that's superstition, you can fight that yourselves, I don't give a shit about that nonsense.

As for inhaling the butane? Are you retarded? Because that's the only excuse I can think of for your lack of intelligence. No shit the butane doesn't go into thin air, it's changed in a chemical reaction, making FIRE (and some other shit). Not only is butane NOT a fluid at room temperature (unless under pressure - this is basic physics/chemistry). All of the butane is burned, completely, but there *are* byproducts. "When oxygen is plentiful, butane burns to form carbon dioxide and water vapor: When oxygen is limited, carbon (soot) or carbon monoxide may also be formed.". So you are inhaling carbon dioxide (yuck), and possibly carbon or carbon monoxide. Those are bad things, but it's REALLY not a big deal. As for joints being cleaner, no, that's a lie, the paper's byproducts are definetly worse. Hold up a butane lighter that's burning, there is almost no smoke. Hold up a burning piece of paper, there is smoke. That smoke is mostly carbon, which is not a real good thing to inhale, and some other crap that you would be better off without. A match is even worse than a butane lighter, even after the red phosphurus, potassium chlorate, and sulfide has burned off, the wood makes more nasty byproducts than the butane, and probably than the papers.

So, from a byproducts point of view, best to worst ranking:

    1. Vaping/hotknifing, hot air has no byproduct
    2. Butane lighter, minimal amounts of carbon dioxide
    3. Joints, paper makes carbon(soot) and other shit you don't want
    4. Match hits, matches make tons of carbon and other shit

You can go back to your petty superstition wars now, but leave science out of it!

    lighter question

Inhale butane?! Time for a Organic Chemistry lesson...

Butane: C4H8 (the numbers represent subscripts)

This the the combustion reaction of butane...

    C4H8 + O2 ---> CO2 + H2O

As you can very well see. Butane is combusted(burned) in a oqygen rich enviorment and produces carbon dioxide and water. So now my friends smoke in peace and let that myth be put to rest...

P.S. Please note that this equation is not balanced and that several unavoidable by-products have been omitted.

anyways last time i had a red lighter, i was drunk as heck and i decided to throw a molotov cocktail in the woods. i ran 2 miles home
