Seeding Question for Garden Knowm
I have a very serious problem on my hands. I have seeded 8 seedlings in ??Black Gold Organic potting soil?. I have mixed a 1:1 ratio with perlite as you can see.
I asked you about a week ago if seeding would be alright in this and you agreed because you used it yourself. (I??m not blaming you as I had planted them b4 I asked)
This looks to me light nute burn. It initially showed on the embryonic leafs and has moved onto the true leafs on two plants. I assume they are gonners but I want to save the others.
I have flushed all the seedlings very gently with a turkey baster two days ago. But they have gotten worse.

Seeding Question for Garden Knowm
Those are signs of a nitrogen deficiency, however that is very unlikely with seedlings so it's probably heat stress, you shouldn't have a problem with burning seedlings that small because you really shouldn't be using nutes.

They are however, under a 400W MH light. See pic. They are about 15 inches away from the bulb. I think they might have heat stress. As it is only affecting some of them. so i raised the light and moved them away from it.

Seeding Question for Garden Knowm
Harris7 - I have the identical problem happening with my seedlings - you can see the pics of them here: http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=83485 - they have not grown at all in the last 4 or 5 days and the small round leaves are almost completely yellow/white today. My temps are nearly the same as yours (about 75 to 78 in the grow closet - 85 directly under the reflector. But a big difference is that I am using a 125w CFL about 3 -4 inches from them. I guess it coud be heat but I havent seen anything in the threads about CFL's and too much heat?
My biggest question is how often you watered them? I am thinking it was overwatering for me so I quit watering them a couple days ago and still no difference. I am sure open to finding a definitive answer so I can avoid it with the next attempt.
Just because I seem to be stumbling on my first attempt, my next try will be with some freebie TroubleMaker seeds, till I get this indoor thang down.
