    AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

The most effective way is to kill the queen... You have been putting stuff out that kills or mames the workers, they are programed like the Taliban, they will die for the queen... a worker ant's first priority is to feed the queen, you must fool them into thinking they have something to give the queen to eat, that would be poison... take a good sticky jam and stick a little boric acid in the center place it on a trail and observe if it is being removed... if ants have no queen they have nothing to live for... Some colonies have queens in wait,,, in which you are screwed...

the flying ants mean that the nest is crowded and winged ants where produced to make other nests...

Are they carpenter ants,.medium to big black ant with big mandibles??? if so they have found a damp spot to live,it has to be damp or they cant survive... check for rotting wood around the house and rotting trees... Ants are big opportunists and if you kill the colony a winged one will come along and reestablish... the rot has to be fixed in order to fully take care of the problem...

    AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

well, this morning i began my mission of search and destroy. i checked my honey drops and found that they had taken the bait, i followed the line back to their nest where i paused for a moment simply to check if this was INDEED the entry way to their nest. i concluded that was their nest and decided that my plan of attack was simple- rinse and repeat, like shampoo ONLY WITH BOILING HOT WATER!! MUAHAHAHAHAA!! i rinsed and repeated three times, twice with a kettle of boiling water and for the grand finale, a whole pot of hot liquid! i discovered that their nest spanned about a 4X2 foot area AND DOUSED THE WHOLE THING! after the first assault i observed mass confusion among the ants returning to the colony and while a couple dozen or so of them were busy running around in circles, i took my lighter and burned some of their legs and antennaes off, leaving them still alive AND WRITHING IN AGONY!!! after the water had dried i noticed that ants were still around the colony whole, possibly exiting in search of the attacker who KILLED ALL OF THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!! so i quickly boiled another kettle and poured it in the same spot, i did not see any ants leaving their probably now dead colony, but just because i hate them so much i boiled a pot full of the liquid that was their demise and completely drenched the surrounding area, taking care of any survivors. i am about 90% sure that their queen and any queens-in-waiting are dead and just about the rest of the colony, here are some pics of the war i just waged with the ant scum! they started it and i finished it theres also a much better pic of my now dead enemy, it wasnt dead when i took the picture tho; in fact, i took that picture before the battle started

I've been having a spider infestation the last few days. It sucks, but finding silverfish around your house is even worse.

the same life that runs thru us
    also runs thru them
    you should respect life more
Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

Not sure if it's been mentioned but try drawing a chalk line where they're coming in. Try it outside, draw a circle around an ant, dunno why but they wont go through it! Beats killin em with nasty pesticides!

    Peace

then they should respect me more, i wouldnt have resorted to drastic measures if they had just left me alone, but no, that was just too hard for them. the way those ants invaded my room when there was nothing, i mean nothing, for them in there reminded me a lot of how the US invaded iraq
