cover hole while burning the bowl, uncover when done to clear the chamber. that's about it.

The idea is to inhale and fill the chamber of whatever piece you're using with the carb covered with your finger. Then take your finger off the carb and finish inhaling to clear the chamber of smoke. Gives you a lots of smoke very quickly.

oh fuck...how do some of you people ask these questions ....how do i use a carb....it stands for carberator.....and does the same thing in your pipe that it does in your car...mmmm oh yeah new cars are fuel injected........lets change it from a carb to an injector...just for all you NOOBS!!!! stay in school

its really not a hard concept...I don't understand when I hear these stories of n00bs who don't know how to use certain devices. I've never had a problem, I used a pipe and the guy told me "thats the carb, put your finger on it when you inhale, and take it off to clear the smoke" and I thought "Okay, I see how that works" so I did it...
