the bong owner gets the first hit from the new bong, duh. but i'd think usually he would pack his own herb in it in that case. but i think the owner should get the first hit. kind of like first drink on an unopened soda.

I am usually inclined to give the 1st hit to someone else. It usually doesnt light great and I get a chance to watch how the bong fills before my turn. That way, when it does get to me (2nd-hehe), I can HOG the good hit and attempt to clear!
