I would suggest a few layers of leaves and using a sticky non-molding substance like honey or whatnot to keep them in place, and curing is a definate yes.
would that book be the joint rollers handbook by any chance??

1)first, find (or make) yourself a thai stick*, remove any thread and carefully coat the stick with liquid cannabis resin oil.

2)wrap the coated stick with small, uncured, 'top' leaves, remove any stems

3)secure teh leaves with thread and coat with more of the oil. leave to dry in a dark, dry warm place for a day or 2

4)remove the thread and repeat the process using progressively larger leaves.

5)when it is suitably sized, use large 'sun@ leaves to seal it, add a final coat of oil and secure with thread.

6) leave to dry slowely in a dark, dry, temperate place, for about 2 - 3 weeks.

7) when dry remove thread and carefully pull the sliver out.
