the plants pH is high around 7 im having a lot of trouble bringing it down

so plants that have red petioles- what's that from? could it be OVERnuting with nitrogen?

The way the serrations on the edges of the leaves look pale makes me think micronutrient def/lockout.
HAve you tried bringing your pH down to 6.8 with just a splash of cider vinegar in your nute mix?

we have been pHing out water down to 6.3 but it doesnt seem to be making a difference... i think we have had a pH problem for so long that it's caused salt to build up in the soil (or vice versa)- our one plant had a yellowish colored water running out of it, so I soaked it in water with a pH of 7 for about half an hour. I flushed it with 6.3 water after that and the water running off of it was super yellow, like darker than urine. Obviously the salt build up is worse than it originally looked, so I'm going to soak all of our plants later today probably. Hopefully after that problem is fixed, it will be easier to control the pH.

yes the soil mix we used has too much top soil (basic).
since we now have a pH meter i have been pHing our soil to 6.4 and our nutes bufffer to like 5.9 so it should average out pretty good

well, I heard composted chicken manure can burn easily, so its probably safe to say you wouldnt be having this problem with normal compost, anyways, good luck

chicken manure is like a personifcation of the devil. It has caused almost every problem we have had.
1- it'll burn the shit outa your plants
2- it's ph is bad
3-it's full of Na which bonds to P and other things causing salt lock ups and P def.
