changing from 18/6 to 12/12

im sure this has been asked before but not sure wat to believe.
is ther anything i should be doing wen i change to 12/12?
like change to bud nutrients one week before hand?
or go 24 hours with no light before the change?
ive heard of a few things but ive never done them and didnt seem to matter.
any advice would eb good

hey there bro well i dont know bout drip/bubbler hydro systems.. but when you switch to flower 12/12 you simply swich the lights from what your on now 18/6 to 12/12.. as for bud nutrients most growers use veg ferts for the first week of flowering as its high in nitrogen and lots of plants lack it early in flowering then go straight on to flowering ferts but only like a quarter the recomended dose.. opps i just realised that no posting questions to.. o well ive wrote this out now im sure it wont hurt.. and if it does hey im so sorry

lol yeah i know bvout the lights n nutrients ns hit, but ive heard of ppl doin a few other fancy things. ive grown once before hydro and just changed to 12/12 and bud ferts in one go, but yeah, heard that thers a few other ways of doing things

I'm not sure where this 24 hours of dark before switching to 12/12 came from but it's not needed, if anything it simply makes the plant go "double you tee ef, man"

Simply turn the lights on for 12 hours as opposed to 18. As for nutrient change, well it looks like you know what you're doing with the nutrients so you'd be okay there, especially if you've grown hydro before.

yeah, nothing special needs to be done. just a simple resetting of your timer and as far as ferts, use them at their normal time when you switch. you might even see a need for more N after a month or so of flowering and it does no harm giving them a dose of veg ferts, in case the plants start lightening up or show other signs of nitrogen deficiency...i do it with nearly every grow and is always needed for the longer flowering sat's in an outdoor environment. you need to be more careful in an indoor grow as ferts will build up in soil, but you shouldn't have that prob in your hydro grow and only added it for the dirt farmers reading this.

All good info! SO the nutes answer was??? If on veg high nutes, just change at next regular interval? And (sorry) I am using GH nutes. Should they be phased in or should I do a water change of some type when I DO change them?
