i live in los angeles , California, if i had a prescription for medical, would failing the drug screen be permissible?

I think I remember that it would be the employers choice to hire You but You would tell them up front You have a prescription before the test.

Most employers from what I understand don't choose to accept MMJ as a valid reason for failing. I don't have any idea about having to tell them before the test, seems like that is still the MRO's job to verify and report to the employer.

Yeah they just had a supreme court case in Cali that was basically what tou are inquiring about. The outcome was that employers do not have to observe the medical MJ laws. If your positive they retain the right to fire or not hire you.
