I usually soak mine in alcohol and hot water over night
It helps loosen all the res so it's easier to clean out.

i just use some solvent, like goo-gone, lighter fluid, or paint thinner. just squirt some in the carb and bowl mix in a little water, hold the carb and mouthpiece then shake it till it's clean. (only takes like 30 seconds.) but don't hit it yet, you should run a bunch of water through it so you don't get solventy hits, those suck

I smoked salvia in my pipe and now it smells like shit.
Think cleaning it with salt will get the smell out?
I'd prever not to boil it, I don't think I have any regular lighter fluid around, but I do have 91% alcohol. I think I will try that, after the salt method.

Pipe Cleaning
This method does: a ziplock bag large enough to hold your peice and pour in some regular isopropyl rubbing alcohol (enough to submerge your peice) Then pour in a generous ammount of table salt and seal the bag. Let it soak in there(giving is a good shaking every now and then) for about 30 minutes and it will look like the day you bought it.
