    when starting to flower plants, can i have light on for ten hours and off for 14 hours, also does it promote flowering to have the lights off for a couple days

    The extended dark cycle, >12 hrs, is what prompts your plant to switch from a veg state to flowering. Keeping the light off for a day is ok, but she will need some light each day to renew her energy stores, else she might stop growing all together, although that is rare.
