OK...Please do not flame me...

I have never seen anything like this before.

I took this photo at my mother's home. My mother is very sick and dying.
I was photographing a crabapple tree and a some roses one day last summer in early July when I was visiting my mother at her home. My mother was standing behind me on the other side of her lawn at the time I took the shot. I did not see this blue light at the time I was taking the photo. It was not until I returned home later that evening and downloaded the photos on to my computer when I saw this blue light...it looks as if it is some kind of energy looking thing in the photo. Anyone here ever see anything like this before or know what this is? Could there be a explainable reason why this blue light is in the photo?

I would appreciate your help and input on this....what do you think this could be? Or would you happen to know the reason why or how this appears in the photo?
