you can tell if a plant in the wild is actually a "wild plant" or if its something someone else has been tending.if its an actual "voluntary" plant " (I.E. a plant that has just come up on its own, NOT something someone has planted and is taking care of) and it is in prime bud, by all means harvest the mother f**ker. if its something that someone is tending, dont screw around with it, dont touch it, do nt leave a god damn note ,get the f**k OUT OF THERE. problem these days if its a grow three things could happen.

(there are literally thousands of voluntary plants that pop up each year along the rivers, canals,ect from stoners throwing their seeds away, or from birds,ect..ive found them all over the lace along the sacramento river and sloughs along freeport out of sacramento by the river before.)

1. most gorilla growers anymore boobytrap their grows. there have been grenade trip wires, doorbangers* ,hookwires** and all sorts of other goodies designed specifically to f**k you up for being in the grow area.....

2. its very possible that, if the grow is more that just a few plants, there are armed guards that are only there to defend their crops, and wont hesitate usually to shoot your ass and use you for fertilizer in their gardens.

one time about 25 years ago, i was walking thru a remote area deer hunting above oroville. i got on an extremely fresh deer trail and started sneaking along thru the woods looking for the herd as the trail had some huge buck tracks on it, and deershit that was literally still steamin. so im sneaking along, and all of the sudden it dawned on me i was standing in a grove of someones plants. thee must have been 500 of them. anyway, before i knew it , this old guy (about 50,old to me at the time before i got old....LOL) stepped out from behind this tree about 10ft to the side of me and said "HELLO!". I turned around just in time to see he had a sawed off double barrel shotgun pointed at my head. he asked me "what are you doing out here??" and i of course explained to him i was deer hunting and was following a fresh deer trail. he then said they always had alot of deer in the area as they were attracted to the smell of the "forest vegetation" i smiled and told him "can you blame them"? and he sort of laughed. we talked about 10 minutes, and when i was ready to leave, tw MORE guys popped out that i didnt even know was there, and the old man asked me "did you se anything?" and i told them "not a damn thing." he told me "usually you wouldnt be walking away from here, but i like you and i believe youll keep your mouth shut". he gave me a joint (shit ass weed by todays standards, but it was prime for back then) and told me to have a good da and good luck getting a buck, and i never saw them again, and of curse i never went back in that area that year...LOL believe me, that was the exception to the rule as usually large operation growers dont have any quomes about planting your ass. if it comes down between their 1000 plants and your ass, which is gonna win out?

3. the cops have found the crop, and are doing covert surveillance on the crop to try to catch the growers. if your stumbling thru the woods and run up on someones grow and start harvesting buds, how wold you explain that to the cops? "see officer, i was only taking these to bring into town so i could call the police and show them proof......NO SIR i wasnt gonna smoke it!...NO WAY, its NOT MY CROP, i just FOUND it!"..they would tell you tough luck buddy! all the time their packin your ass to jail!


point is, if its one thats just came up on its own, go for it, if its part of a crop (scout around before even touching the plant and look for more, for traps, for the feds,ect.....) , leave it alone and get the f**k out of dodge and dont come back.


*(a tripwire bobbytrap thats wired to a ultra small "shotgun barrel" about 4" long contaning a firing mechanism thats activated by the tripwire. not accurate over 20ft, but if you trip the wire everything within its range is obliterated with buckshot)
