So far anyway...they may come back and charge him yet still. Sorry about someone dying but this just shows how stealing someones plants can have serious repercussions.
I just read through this thread and there are some very good points made. I certainly would be very upset is someone stole my plants. But, that is a risk you take growing illegally and on public/some one elses land.
The issue that I have with what some people have written has to do with booby traps and inflicting bodily harm.... If you are growing weed to sell it, what makes you any different than the mexican cartels who grow to finance harder drugs and violencs? You are doing the same. If you are willing to actually harm another person over a plant you are the worlds biggest idiot with the worlds smallest pecker. If I ever found a grow with a booby trap I would destroy the grow and leave it for the growers to find. If I walked onto someones grow and they threatened me I would have no problem calling the cops and identifying the persons responsible. Hurting someone over weed is something a tweaker would do and belive me some posts have sounded like they were put here by tweakers.
If everyone here knows as much and has as much experience as they claim then hopefully you would be smart enough to put your plants where someone wont find them. IF YOUR PLANTS ARE TAKEN CONSIDER IT A LESSON LEARNED. Maybe you shouldnt put them in your backyard in plain sight of the neighbors and where there is no way the plant(s) cant be connected to you. Maybe you shouldnt grow them 40 feet off of a trail used by many people, if you are planting that close then how much work have you really put in?, you deserve to get ripped.
My point is this.
Stealing=bad
harming a person over weed = very stupid and desperate
Planting in a well traveled area = stupid
Maybe if your plants are taken all the blame should not be placed on the culprit but rather the grower for putting them somewhere so easily found.
