can anyone suggest a simple brownie recipe?

The easiest & quickest way to make brownies is this.
Start with a box or 2 of Betty Crocker brownie mix.
Don't buy the box with "hershey" on it cuz they are just nasty, they don't taste like brownies, they taste like ass.
I always used a slightly smaller than average cookie sheet that was approximately 2-3 inches deep for 1-2 boxes.
The amount of weed you use varies pretty much on your desired affect, your tolerance and how big you plan on cutting the brownies. A girlfriend of mine would make hers using less than an 1/8 of weed for 1 box! Personally I like to use a 1/4 per one box of brownie mix using GOOD weed.

You have 2 quick options on preparing the smoke if you don't already have a bottle of canna-oil sitting around.

    1) Put your smoke in an un-used coffee grinder and grind it up so that it's like powder, there is nothing yummy about trying to force a brownie down your throat with chunks of weed hanging out of it, hence the gag effect. Mix up the "powder" with the oil from the brownie recipe, mix the remaining ingredients and put in the oven to bake.

    2) Take the amount of oil that the brownie recipe calls for. Put the oil in a small saucepan on your stove and bring it to temps of about 200 degrees, remove from heat and add your smoke to the oil, use all of your bag, but I would break it up 1st to the size I would to roll a bone. Use tweezers to break up your smoke, not your fingers, don't want to be losing that resin to your hands. Stir the smoke/oil mix and then simmer on the stove for about 45 minutes to an hour. DO NOT BURN YOUR OIL! Then take a tiny strainer, strain the smoke/oil mix, use a spoon to sorta press the weed as if you are trying to squeeze every last iota of oil out of it. Then just add the oil to your brownie mix, add remaining ingredients and bake in oven.

I hope this helps, both "quick' ways have worked for me.
I prefer the grinder way, it makes me feel like I am not losing anything important cuz it's all in there. :rasta:

    200 degrees is to much...

The stove top pan fry your bud method is vastly over rated and a majority of the time, done wrong.
If THC has a flash point of 167 degrees than that's about as hot as you want to get it.. because after that you're heating off the THC.

If you're going to "cook" the cannabis, the ideal thing to do is to make CannaButter, whether it be a full or half batch.

Your safest way , without wasting THC would be the fine grind method added into the brownie mix. It may not be as effective as actually getting the THC out of the bud first.. but it definately still makes for good brownies.

    Cheers, Happy baking.

you're best off to make cannabutter first then substitute it for the oil needed per the box instructions. (Don't use the temp indicated on the box...275F is plenty.)

cannabudder = 50 grams powdered bud or hash:500 grams butter. Obviously you don't need that much, but there's no shame in having "extra" budder. LOL In a double boiler simmer weed in butter for 30-45 minutes, stirring often. Keep an eye on it so you don't scorch the weed, or it will taste burned. when it's done strain it thru cheesecloth into your storage container.

I just made a batch (well making). I simmered a stick of butter between 150-175 degree for an hour and fifteen minutes. I used a quarter of weed and the cheese cloth method. I also used less than a full box of mix and used a 4x8 pan. DO you guys think they will be pretty potent?

OK, I'm going to give you the easiest method for a beginner. Hope it helps.

    You will need the following:

    Equipment
    - Saucepan or something to boil something on the stovetop
    - Brownie pan (8x8, 9x9, or 13x9)
    - Strainer
    - Mixing Bowl

    Ingredients
    - A simple $3 brownie mix from your local supermarket
    - Whatever amount of water the mix calls for
    - Whatever amount of vegetable oil the mix calls for (Make sure it has 14g of fat a spoonful)
    - Whatever amount of eggs the mix calls for
    - 7-9 grams of some high midi's (10-11 of mexican brick shwag, 3-4 of some KB)

    Creating CannaOil:
Take however much vegetable oil is needed for the recipe, and put it into the saucepan and heat it on the stovetop. Make sure to add a little extra oil, as a small amount of it will boil off. Using either a grinder or a kitchen knife, chop up the cannabis very fine, it should be like the spices you can buy from the store.

When the oil begins to form small bubbles and begins moving somewhat (but not a rolling boil), go ahead and add the finely chopped cannabis into the oil. It'll hiss, smell like burnt popcorn, and turn brown, while the oil will gain a green tint to it. Stir the mix around for about 45 seconds, and then strain the oil into another container using the Strainer, to remove most of the leftover burnt cannabis. If a little gets through, it won't matter.

Now to make the brownies. Basically, just substitute the CannaOil for the normal vegetable oil, and go from there. You'll most likely have to add the eggs, water, CannaOil, and brownie mix powder into the mixing bowl, and stir it around with a big spoon until it's all mixed into a thick brown paste.

Spray the brownie pan with cooking spray (Unless you have a non-stick pan, but just do it to be safe), and spread the brownie paste into the pan evenly. Heat it in the oven for whatever temperature and time is specific on the box, and let it cool afterwards.

Eat, wait anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, and enjoy a very, very long and intense high

You need to be very quick when you using this method.. It can be done but cooking the cannabis too long will defeat what you're doing. it must be watched very closely. There is a very small window from when you've cooked it enough to cooked it to much when using this method.

    Just thought i'd add..

    Great recipe though thanks Bob.
