My life 10 years ago-- Husband in jail, going to college, mostly supporting 2 adult kids- both unemployed and going to college, working as a housekeeper, also as a tutor and biology lab assistant/taxidermist at college. For 5 years straight- I couldn't manage full time as a student for obvious reasons. Whew! I'm glad I'm 5 years out of that mess! I still managed to cope and graduate with honors- thanks to cannabis. I wrote most of my papers high (cleaned them up straight). I find pot to be a "mind lubricant" as well as a stress relief. I did math straight- my mind can't handle numbers while high. lol Without the pot, I don't think I could have done it all. And Esmada, I never let myself get to the point where pot didn't help. I'm sorry you're at that point. You need to start your papers way earlier! I would be well into my term paper before the first month of class was done- the other students either hated me or thought I was crazy. My term papers were done weeks before class ended, so I never had that "OMG, I've got X term papers due next week and finals!" stress. This also gave me time to put the paper down for a few days while I did something else ( party, do some art, rest, whatever). This would give me "fresh eyes" when I went back to it. I'd spot mistakes, see a better way of saying something, etc. I was able to study for the finals without distraction, because my term papers were already done! When it comes to school, procrastination is a huge enemy. A better stratagy is to get it done early and avoid the stress. Start your projects the day they are assigned! My present job is teacher's aide/ private tutor. I teach people how to study.
