how to get your parents to think you DONT smoke

I've been caught like sixteen or seventeen times.

The first time I was grounded hardcore for the three months.

The most recent time, I came home to check in on a Friday afternoon. My mom had found a roach, and she just asked me about it. I still got to stay out all weekend.

So yeah. They get used to it.

Granted, I never had this issue with my parents. I don't think they cared and I was always pretty careful. But, having gone through other incidents with them, I'll just say that if you don't stand up for yourself, you'll for anything.

I convinced my mom years ago that even while SHE was smokin dope, snorting coke and taking acid, SHE turned out fine.

Well the thing is my parents are the same way about pot as they are about liquor, wait till your old enough to really understand the consequences, and to never disrespect the house by showing up drunk/high.

The main problem they have with it is that it is illegal, in fact i think they were more disappointed when they found out o smoked Cigs

When I was busted I asked my dad if recreational usage was okay. And he said no. Then I was like, "Don't you use recreationally?" He said no. I told him alcohol and tobacco were drugs. He told me they were legal. I told him there are legal drugs such as DXM and Nitro that are MORE harmful. Then he said pot is killing off it's customers. Annnd I told me CIGARETTES are killing off its customers. He said the argument wasn't about his habits. I'm still not aloud to smoke. I still smoke. I think people need to pay attention to their own hypocrissy and to what is fact and what is opinion..

instead of lying to my parent(s), i just tell them the facts

I say yeah, i smoke weed

then i ask "do you see me getting drunk every friday and satuday night?" their answer is no

then i ask "do you see me falling asleep in a pool of vomit, or vomiting non stop into a toilet, then spending the next day hungover?" their answer is no

then i ask "do you see me getting drunk and crashing my car, getting into fights, or breaking the law when drunk?" their answer is no

then i ask "how many times have you seen or heard of people dying from alcohol poisoning or dying while drink driving etc?" obviously theyve seen or heard of that happening

then i ask "have you ever heard of anybody dying from smoking weed?" their answer is no

then, i show them sites like cannabis.com, erowid, etc and show them the REAL truth about weed

thats what we should all be doing.. not hiding the fact that we smoke weed because people think its wrong, but being proud that we smoke weed and teaching people the real truth

but hey, each to his own

the other only problem is no one cares. its illegal. thats all anyone cares about.

All my mom has against it is its illegal and she doesnt want me participating in illegal activities and getting in trouble with the law.
