Amish School Shooting
I live in Ephrata in Lancaster County, about 15 miles or so from the shootings. I was very sad about it all day. I had such a great day yesterday. I went skydiving and it was awesome. Then I woke up today and it was a great day outside which was amazing in itself because lately the weather has been 80% lousy. So it just felt so good with the sun shining, perfct blue skies, warm, just a few white clouds to decorate the blue. And then I found out about what happened...
How tragic, how so very sad. I'll be absolutely honest with you, it's hard for me sometimes to empathize with deaths that are outside my radius. My mind usually registers their deaths and takes it in more as information and slightly sad news. But these deaths, I felt them to my core and it eats me up and tears at my soul. Because I live here. I know the Amish. They are good, decent people. There is not much in the world more innocent than little Amish girls and this guy made them line up, bound them and shot them in the head execution style. I just can't imagine anything worse than that. It is just so horrible.
The juxtoposition fo these two days - one a skydiving adventure, and the other a gruesome day of death and sadness - has put me in an unusual place. It is causing some profound thoughts and revelations. Some how I can sense that something good is bound to break out amongst the friction. I sense that in all of society right now, actually. There is so much tragedy but there is so much LIFE and goodness going on too. The friction of war and terror and political strife and drama and fear and insecurity and everything has got to give because we can't take it anymore, as individuals or society. So we are going to be forced into another type of phase transition where either World War III is going to break out or something profoundly good. I'm sensing it's going to be for the good, at least that is what I'm striving for. That's what I'm going to help bring in.
The world is kinda crazy. There is evil everyday. Within each one of us lies the seeds of greatness. We ourselves can be great forces for the good of all humanity. We can, and we must. We will. At least, I will. (I will try)
I pray to the Great Living Creator God Almighty of the Infinite Universe that His True Kingdom will come upon this earth in the hearts of all of mankind.
This is just a little bit of how I'm feeling right now.Hempstone Reviewed by Hempstone on . Amish School Shooting Whats going on here latley.
