My foster parents were seriously hardcore against any kind of drugs, or drinking. They had to be, to keep on the good side of the juvenile court system. So, when I was 17, greatly desiring to take control of my own life, I joined the Army and became my own man. You could probably go that route too, if getting out from under your parents is a goal (which it should be at age 19).

Get some job skills, money for college, travel the world (and kill people occasionally, perhaps). You don't have to be a huge muscle-bound guy either; I weighed like 100 pounds when I joined, at 5'10". I had to slouch four inches off my height when they measured height, get a medical waiver from a doctor AND not shit for a week (that was one of the hardest things I ever did in my life there) to pass the minimum weight requirement. Anyway, you do have that option, and it's not all bad.
