Do males need a 12/12 period to flower?

Just weeded out a male I want to get some pollen off of - Moved it to a different room to let it develop, but as for lighting - should he be under 12/12 to make flowers and produce pollen? Or will a male drop pollen under any light conditions?

males will flower with little regard to lighting cycles, it's one of the survival techniques of the plant ... :smokin:

All I can tell you is, they definitely don't flower when they're dead.

I have noticed they will flower faster under 12/12, but like stated above will turn at any light cycle, but in is own time.
