knowing the strain would give us a better idea...but overall, the majority of strains are ripe between mid to late october. bag seeds tend to be sativa-dominant and can take a little longer and looking at your pics, i'd have to say it's going to need all the time your weather can give...at least a month. it has a lot of filling in to do but if you give it the time it'll be far more rewarding.

patience...we know it's hard and it doesn't get much easier after a couple decades of doing it...but ya gotta refrain for maximum potential.

The strain is unknown, it is from some weed I bought while on holiday in Jamaica it was a really nice mellow smoke

where would i get a manifying glass that was good enough and how much??

if it was a costly, known high-powered strain then i would do all i could but as it is now, if it were mine i'd just let it go and see how far it can go for the knowledge/experience. you know your climate so you're the best judge for first frost...but generally, an outdoor plant of unknown origins currently in the final stages of flowering are not good candidates for moving indoors. but that's an individual thing...only you know if it's worthy enough of all that extra effort which stands a good chance of not surviving the move anyway.

magnifying glasses can be found for cheap on ebay...search "loupe's". i just bought several (they're cheap enough for 'buddy gifts' too) and the one for me is a 20x with built-in light for 8 bucks. black plastic ones can be had for half that, plus shipping. s/h costs more than the glass!

Most Drug Stores have magnifing glasses. I got mine at CVS and it works fine for me.:thumbsup:

Can anyone explain where on the plant to look to gauge the trichromes. Silly question, but pretty new at this and want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Just look any where you see crystaly, stickey, stinky bud. Them crystals are your tricomes. Little tip, save your trim and dry it, when dry, run it over a real fine screen with a credit card. The keif that falls through is great for cooking or just to smoke. Its basicly the tricomes that were forming on the trim/leaves. The finer the screen the less leaf falls through so it would make a better smoke.
