germination
"the best" is a subjective term...i have always used the old time tested and proved method of direct planting 1/4" into the soil and pot they'll be growing in until sexed...or an 8" pot, sometimes called a 1gal or #1. i plant outside once all threat of frost has ended and the ground has warmed up enough to cause grass, flowers and other seedlings to sprout...i'm in the desert sw so there's no way to compare other than that.
